Terms and Conditions of the McDonald’s ili card programme.

  1. The information contained within the McDonald’s ili Card website and programme literature form part of these Terms and Conditions. By participating members agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The McDonald’s ili Card programme commences October 1st 2008 and may be cancelled by McDonald’s at anytime by giving notice to registered participants via email.
  3. Membership to McDonald’s ili Card is open to all McDonald’s employees over the age of 16.
  4. McDonald’s ili Card membership rewards and privileges commence from the date of an approved employment and registration by individual McDonald’s employees through the ili Card registration page located on the ili card website www.ilicard.co.nz.
  5. Members can only register once and will receive confirmation of their membership by return email.
  6. McDonald’s assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive a membership registration as a direct or indirect result of a technical problem of any kind or any traffic congestion on the internet or any website.
  7. Rewards programmes and special privilege offers developed by the ili Card may vary from time to time and McDonald’s reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of specific offers as well as the nature, period, scope and any details or elements of the promotion by giving notice to the participants via email or through published information on the ili card website.
  8. Each reward, prize draw or special privilege put in place for ili card members will carry their own set of terms and conditions and these should be read in conjunction with these terms and conditions.
  9. Reward recipients or prize winners will be notified by email utilising the email address supplied with their registration as soon as possible after they have qualified for the reward or prize and following confirmation of their existing employment at a McDonald’s restaurant at the time the reward or prize was issued or drawn.
  10. Rewards, prizes and privileges will cease if an ili Card member ceases employment at McDonald’s.
  11. McDonald’s decision is final on all matters relating to ili Card prizes, rewards and sub promotions. No correspondence will be entered into.
  12. In the event that a specific prize or reward is unavailable, McDonald’s reserves the right to award a substitute prize of equal value at its absolute discretion.
  13. Neither McDonald’s, ili Card, franchisees or any other person, or party, associated with the promotion accepts any responsibility for any incorrect, late, or misdirected registration or employment information lodged into the ili card system by individuals which affects the posting of any reward or prize results.
  14. McDonald’s accepts no responsibility for incorrect personal email details supplied by ili Card members, internet malfunction, or such other technological breakdown or inadequacy which affects the registration, prize draw entry, communication or delivery of emails or prize and reward notifications.
  15. All ili Card members agree to be identified by name as members of the McDonald’s ili Card programme and their photograph or name may be used for publicity or internal promotional purposes without compensation. Copyright will vest with McDonald’s.
  16. Prizes or rewards are not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash except by McDonald’s as provided in these conditions.
  17. Personal information received from members of ili Card will be stored by McDonald’s. This information will only be used to communicate to ili Card members, news, prizes or events associated with the ili Card programme or McDonald’s staff activity. McDonald’s and any agency servicing the ili Card programme will hold this information securely.
  18. ili Card members may change or update personal details, such as change of email address or change of McDonald’s restaurant by logging onto the ili Card website (www.ilicard.co.nz) and entering the “Change Details” section.
  19. McDonald’s reserves the right to terminate any persons membership to the ili Card programme at any time, for whatever reason, in its absolute discretion.
  20. Any address details provided by members in the form of email address only applies to their ili Card membership and therefore ili Card members should not assume that the same details are held by the individual restaurant employer.
  21. McDonald’s and its related bodies corporate shall not be liable for any loss damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly out of or in connection with the ili Card programme and its rewards, prizes or privileges.
  22. Without limiting the foregoing, McDonald’s assumes no responsibility for, and the entrants release McDonald’s from, any loss, claim, damage or injury to person or property if, for any reason beyond McDonald’s reasonable control (eg due to computer viruses, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures etc), this programme is not able to be conducted as planned and/or the programme's administration, security, fairness or integrity are corrupted or affected. Further, in such circumstances, McDonald’s may modify or suspend the programme and/or invalidate any entries of any individual in any way involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of the programme or abusing the communication system upon which the programme is being conducted.
